Hello Gents,
Everything I find online says the generic sildenafil is bio equivalent to Viagra. I find that hard to believe when Viagra is charging $120 a pill. Has anyone found that the brand name is significantly better or roughly the same as the generics? I’d appreciate any feedback

Yes I believe generic sildanefil is exactly the same, as long as it's using the same formula/ingredients and is from a reputable pharmaceutical company.
Pre implant I only ever used generic sildanefil. I only use it occasionally now if I want a "boost" for a bit more engorgement.
I'm on a repeat prescription for 12 x 100 mg tablets, which I chop into four. Just 25 mg is enough for me, but I already have an implant that does 99.9% of the work.
I'm in Australia and sildanefil is government subsidized if prescribed by a doctor for ED. I pay $20 AUD for the 12 tablets which are made by a major local pharmacy chain using their own lab. "Brand name" drugs are often exponentially more expensive, just take a look at OTC painkillers. But I wasn't aware that the brand name Viagra from Pfizer is so incredibly expensive. Probably explains why no doctors here seem to prescribe it, they just write down sildanefil even if you ask for Viagra. And I've never had a pharmacist ask me if I want Viagra instead of generic.
p.s. Are you sure about that $120 price for Viagra? I just did some searching. The nearest comparison for my prescription locally is:
16 x 100 mg Tablets - Actual Viagra $55.96 AUD and Generic sildanefil $39.96 AUD. Both have to be medically prescribed.
72, married, Sydney Oz. PC/nerve sparing RRP Mar 2022 caused 100% total ED. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED. All failed. Implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal. Back to 6.5" BPEL @ 9m. Loving it.

Jeffrey: My sildenafil works exactly the same as Viagra. It's $3.75 per 100mg tablet not covered by insurance.
Before the generic came out, I was paying $50/tablet and thought I was getting fleeced. The day I tried the first sildenafil, nothing was different and I was very happy.
As LGX says, get it from a reputable source. I get mine from a local pharmacy which presumably knows legitimate suppliers.
Looking at your signature, I'm thinking: how's your testosterone? Usually low libido means low testosterone. Have you had both the total T and free T measured? My low T also came on suddenly; see my signature.

Age 81 in 2026. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 25 min.

Thats ridiculous. I get 8 50mg tablets so 400 mg for £0 on the NHS.
Even if I did pay though itlld be about £50 for that much

CPPS pudendal neuralgia and muscle tightness in late 2023 making ED worse.
Cialis no longer works. Sildenafil 100mg with diazepam works some of the time.

This is why the US needs a national health care! Our health insurance and health industry is out of control. Stupid congresspeople and our inept president do nothing.
Had ED for about 25 years, and used pills, then injections, until implant in June 2024, following bout with cancer. Implant is AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24 at age 65.
