Thanks to bldoink, I have corrected the spelling of "moil" to the correct, "mohel".

Having read up on the practice for the first time, I would have changed my comment entirely to be

Perhaps he was attempting to give you (or your car) a brit milah, despite his avowed opposition to the practice.
