And I used a Phallosan Forte tension device

Thanks for such a detailed journal. I have a question about the the tension device. Was that a presurgical recommendation by Dr. Eid?
Thanks

It was not a recommendation of Dr Eid’s at all. I mentioned I was using it and he seemed to indicate that they don’t work. He was not a proponent of it. It had been recommended by two men I know from here. One who uses shots and feels like it helped him regain size after prostatectomy. The other is a man who got an implant and he thought it helped too.

The traction device is a drag. You have to wear it for much of the day, consistently, day after day, for weeks and weeks to see any results. EVERYTIME you need to take a leak you have to take it off and put it back on. It can be worn discreetly under clothing but you have to wear clothes that will hide it.

I think I got an extra 1/2cm. Half a centimeter, hardly anything. But if that allowed my surgeon to round up to the next size up that would be great.

For me the biggest benefit was the peace of mind that I left nothing on the table. I did everything in my power to have a good surgical outcome. I gave my surgeon the biggest “me” to work with. Whether my efforts helped at all or not, I’ll never know.

If I were to do it all over again I would absolutely use a VED consistently and would probably skip the traction device. It’s such a hassle.

But no, Dr Eid did not recommend it.

Thanks for answering my quesion.

And thanks for such a detailed journal. I know everyone is different, but those that have had access to surgeons like Munarizz and Eid have much less post-op problems.

I saw Dr Munaarizz in Boston yesterday. Bad news, for me, he’s moving to Florida and won’t be able to do my surgery. He trained Dr. Eid.

Dr. Munarizz basically ordered me to call Dr. Eid. I have an appointment for middle of August. After speaking with Munarizz and reading the information about Eid’s practice it is clear to me that having a high volume surgeon is even more important than the skill that comes with doing so many. On his website he talks about sterilization procedures and having an inventory of implants to choose from rather than ordering one prior to surgery only to find intra-operatively a different size would be preferable.
