Hi all, I'm on day 7 after my Titan with Dr. Eid. I can feel the tubing from the pump to the reservoir along the left side at the base of my shaft. A small loop of it sits about 1 cm up from the base and about half a cm out from the shaft. It compresses easily, but if it stays like this, it would get pressed on whenever I use my full length, and I don't love the idea of it sitting raised there even if it's not very visible.
- Did your tubing settle in and become less noticeable as the swelling went down?
- Does yours sit low enough that it doesn't take away from usable length at the base?

Re: Tubing at the base of my shaft: looking for insight
This comes up fairly regularly right after guys get implanted. I will answer based on my experience and based on what I regularly hear other guys say:
1) It is very common to feel that tubing, there is really no way around it, and it will not go away, and
2) you will eventually barely notice it, it will probably not affect sex, and your partners will probably not notice it unless you draw their attention to it.
I say that because a lot of guys are concerned about exactly what you are concerned about, that it takes away usable length. But guys that have had it for a while never complain about that.
Bottom line: normal, and don’t worry about it. When Eid next sees you, you can discuss it with him to make sure there is nothing out of the ordinary. But the overall message is that you will not notice it as much later. Right now everything feels super weird to you, but eventually everything will settle in and feel normal.

Born 1974. Implanted 5/21/2024. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

Yes to both questions. See my answers below.
I agree, eventually you probably won't even think about it. I also have some palpable tubing at the base but it isn't really noticeable now unless I start poking around looking for it. It was more prominent early on but gradually softened and became less obvious as the implant settled in. In my experience it doesn't take away any usable length. When you thrust forward during penetrative sex, or your partner rides you, the pubic/genital area usually compresses, the tubing is pushed backwards internally, and your erect penis elongates to its maximum. I absolutely don't feel the tubing during even the most intense vigorous sex and neither does my wife. And don't forget that the implant will give you 100% reliable and very rigid erections that have been missing due to ED, so your penetration will likely be much deeper
You are a young man and I acknowledge your concerns, but it can take months to get to "implant normal". I've noticed that some younger guys can be very worried about any evidence of tubing, even to the point of wanting revision surgery to "fix" it. That may not be possible as an IPP device can't operate without tubing (using current technology). It has to go somewhere and hiding it completely can be difficult without making some other compromise. I doubt any sex partners will notice it. My advice is to wait and see how it settles in as you heal further and start cycling the implant. It likely won't be an issue but always consult your own surgeon about any significant concerns.

Re: Tubing at the base of my shaft: looking for insight
LetoMan & LGXDownunder are spot on. I'm coming up on 9 months post-op and I too notice the tubing at the base when flaccid. Can't be avoided although I'm sure it's different to an extent for each of us with our individual anatomy. I did experience some slight discomfort or soreness with the tubing there, but that disappeared by 3 months.
For me, the tubing at the base all but disappears when I'm inflated and the wife didn't notice it at all until I pointed it out to her. You are but 7 days out right now and much healing remains. A lot of issues each of us experienced early on disappears with time. Right now, relax, heal and follow the doctors instructions and it won't be too long until you will be enjoying the ability to have an erection when you want it and for as long as you want it.
Welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood and all the best to you going forward.

I had this same issue. Redundant tubing. Eid left too much tubing in you. From my experience it wont improve. I've had mine for six months and remained an issue even when inflated. I had my revision on Friday with Hakky & Bugra.
Mid 30s.
Implanted by Professor Ralph at UCLH on 1st April 2026 with Rigicon Infla10 AX 22cm + 1 RTE. Penuscrotal approach.
Revision by Hakky & Bugra in Istanbul October 2026 with Auxetic cuts and Rigicon Infla10 AX 24cm. Sub Coronal approach.

You’ve gotten good advice so far. A couple of things I’m curious about…
1) Your reservoir is on the left side? Most surgeons place it on the right because many lower abdominal surgeries like to go through the left to access the sigmoid colon and other structures.
2) You mention a “loop”… do you mean where it curves around the cylinder going to the pump, or an actual loop like excess tubing coiled on itself? The former is normal, the latter seems very strange.
In the end, as stated by others there’s no way to avoid the fact that your implant tubing has to route between the components of the device, and it can be felt if you look for it. But it’s unlikely to be an issue or be felt during sex. I have a fairly prominent tube running from the reservoir to the pump on the left side, but it’s never been an issue. No woman would ever notice it unless I mentioned it, it just seems like a tendon under the skin.
Part of being “bionic” is you have bionic components that are part of you now. Think of it like a mole, birthmark or skin tag…it might not be perfect, but it’s part of you and there’s nothing to be done about it.
