Revision AMX to Titan
My AMS 700 appears to have failed at four months. I have to wait two more weeks for the urologist to get back in town. It is possible that manipulation of the valve will restore function, but it seems more likely that a replacement will be necessary. I am in Nashville. Thinking of switching to Hakky in Atlanta as it sounds like his communication skills and availability are better. I assume he will favor the Titan, though I have seen some things online that he would consider using AMS again. Has anyone experienced both AMS and a Titan? I’m curious whether anyone favors one over the other. The new Prime sounds good, but even with the new cylinders it seems like that the flaccid appearance/texture will still be firmer than the AMS. It does sound like they worked to resolve the deflation button issue.

I came across a video where Dr. Hakky explains his take on both cylinders. The comments section also has good information.

Re: Revision AMX to Titan
I've only had on type of implant, so I can't give you the comparison you want, but the video posted by lasthope seemed very good. I hadn't seen it before and it does a good job of reviewing pros and cons of each of the 2 models. I've had my implant for 8 years now and I imagine that at some point I'll need a replacement, so I'm starting to look into them again.
My decision 8 years ago to want the AMS LGX was based on my dick length more than anything else. I'm about 6 inches erect and I wanted a more natural flaccid "hang" so I didn't look like I was sporting wood in a locker room. The things I'd heard were that smaller guys would get a better hang from the less rigid LGX. I also liked the idea that the implant grew in length. I'm now more of a "shower" than before (I'd had years of atrophy before the implant so either type would have helped), but I'm also a "grower" as I get more erect. For me, the growing was not just during erection/inflation, but seemed to be even more over time.
Initially, after surgery, I was about 5 inches erect and with frequent inflation, recommended by my surgeon, Edward Karpman, I grew over an inch in length over the first year. I was and am very satisfied with the AMS 700 LGX. My guess now is that I've stretched about as much long term length as I'll ever get (though I'll definitely ask my doctor about it) and the AMX CX or the Titan would be fine. My only concern about the Titan, really is the "dog ears" problem. It has more girth and I'm less concerned about hang angle now. If there is no further length to grow, there's no real reason to do the LGX.
I hope you get the info you're looking for. I'm probably going to be in the same boat some time over the next few years. Just wanted to share what my thinking has been.

Hakky recently told me he’ll never install another AMS implant unless requested by the patient. So if you want one he’ll do it. Otherwise he’ll steer you toward Rigicon or Titan.

I have an AMS CX that lasted almost 9 years with regular use. My CX before that lasted 6 years. My first CX was 21cm, second was 24cm. I'm speaking with Dr. Karpman tomorrow to see if he has the Titan Prime, and if so, in 24cm. Keep you posted.
