Dog ears or what?

Postby Frosty » Fri Aug 14, 2026 12:30 pm

I don't think this is the traditional "dog ears," but it is probably something very typical ...

When flaccid, I can feel the far end (toward my groin) of the cylinders ... a little more on the right (looking down at my friend), but both do it. It goes away when pumped up at more than 50%. It is slightly bothersome.

What is that? And is it something to worry about?

I believe I was a bit undersized (my first implant, June 2024). I'm at 6.25 (maybe 6.5 at best) BP now. Pre-op was 6.75 inches.
Had ED for about 25 years, and used pills, then injections, until implant in June 2024, following bout with cancer. Implant is AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24 at age 65.

I have a Titan, the cylinders at the base of the penis are a lot harder and “crunchier” when flaccid. This isn’t painful or bothersome, but it’s noticeable and it smooths out when inflating. I assume as my cylinders deflate, they crinkle and “bunch up” at the base, it’s just where my cylinders naturally sit when deflated. You probably have something similar going on.

I have the same setup, AMS 700 CX. I can feel exactly what you describe when flaccid. I can feel the cylinder "folds" along the shaft and the tubing at the base when flaccid. The "folds", I guess that's what most describe as dog ears, have been uncomfortable when flaccid. I'm 7 months out now, and that discomfort is slowly disappearing, hopefully gone completely soon. When inflated, I have nothing but a rock hard shaft and only if I press in at the base pretty hard can I feel the tubing.

Yep I think dog ears like this are a reality on any inflatable implant. I've had them on both the Titan and 700 CX

Honestly no dog ears on rigicon. Ive had ipp for 4 months now. Hakky tells me to always put one pump in after deflation. I gain probably an inch when inflating so my ipp lengthens. I also have the ax. I think the material used in the rigicon is the reason why it feels natural. Granted it takes a while to fully pump. Like 50 pumps for me for now. May be higher as i accommodate as i havent maxed this out.

The distal part (near the glans) i can feep the tips and know i have an ipp. But the rest, feels soft, natural, no crinkly feeling.
Became bionic 3/2026. Hakky - rigicon infla10ax 23 cm (22+1 rte). Chronic ed - tried pills, ved, bimix/trimix. Had mild venous leak on doppler. Took the plunge when ultrasound showed fibrosis and i knew it was only a matter of time before i needed one
