And I don't think anybody wants a doctor who says, "Oh, that's good enough."

Dr Eid stated both verbally and in the literature he provided that a spinal allows the penis to relax more, and it helps fit the appropriate size implant. This is why he prefers this method. HOWEVER I believe Kramer prefers general, and I know of numerous others that prefer general as well. I had spinal, and I was heavily sedated throughout most of the surgery. I only have vague memories of the very end when they were finishing up. From the patient perspective, it really makes no difference. My advice is to do whatever your doc prefers.
