I started at 6 inches.
Everybody on here has their reasons for what they do, besides just having a Y chromosome (though that is enough for some). In my case, my wife developed severe pelvic dyssynergia- usually does not affect vaginal sensation but in her case it did. She is improved with pelvic PT, but meanwhile she literally couldn't feel intercourse. I found that the stretch receptors were not affected, so I went this direction. In the very middle of my project, ED hit. I had a choice- I could let it all go, or fight through it. I have one woman to satisfy, and by golly I'm gonna do it... She would say, "you don't have to do that", or, "I don't have to have that"... but I can assure you, I can tell she is glad I have pressed on. She had to grudgingly admit sex is much better- and I can tell she feels that way. I bet some of the married guys on here know what I mean.
So, I'm going to get through this pain, get my size back, then head toward 7.5 inches circumference (my estimate based on degree of laxity) ASAP.
By working it in, I mean starting a fire with sticks. Did it until my muscles cramped. rested a few minutes and did it some more- at least 5 times a day, usually after urinating. I'm not exactly sure how that's going to work with an implant, but I will find a way...

Itll be easier with an ipp. The stick is already hard. Hahaha. I started at 5.75. 6.75 is my goal. How much bellafill have you gotten already? Did you do ha once and did bellafill since already? Sorry for all the questions. Not a lot of people here with experience. I dont mind forking a few thousands spaced out several months apart to slowly work my size up. Wife doesnt have pelvic dyssynergia but she loves a big size for sure.
Became bionic 3/2026. Hakky - rigicon infla10ax 23 cm (22+1 rte). Chronic ed - tried pills, ved, bimix/trimix. Had mild venous leak on doppler. Took the plunge when ultrasound showed fibrosis and i knew it was only a matter of time before i needed one

Heat will help softening up the pump. Many surgeons recommend a warm bath. I tried that and it was a pain doing that twice daily. So, I bought a small heating pad and applied that before cycling and it helped a lot. Now the pump is soft and easy to pump. It happens gradually and one day your pump will soften up too. Good luck!
Age 74 Implanted 01/02/2024, Dr.Clavell AMS LGX, Ed for almost 20yrs. Cialis tried caused vision loss, Trimix also caused vision problems. Married 36 years.

1984-
I started with HA, 20 cc (10 cc x 2). Was great at first (that's when I realized stretching the vagina was a big plus) but it dissipated far more quickly than advertised . Decided on bellafil (as you are realizing) and got a total of 30 cc, 10 cc at a time (that's a total of 50 cc over 4 years HA plus bellafil). Finally hit 7 inches circumference... your size is similar to mine, so it will take a lot. In my opinion you just can't go overboard on the volume each time, due to the risk of nodule formation... which is really no big deal, but unsightly... however, the next thing to avoid is granuloma, which you really don't want, as it needs to be excised. That is why I went overboard on manually working the stuff in for a minimum of a week. In my experience, the whole nodule thing can be mitigated by aggressive and repetitive compression- but that's just me. When I researched it, I kept finding guys who decried it due to nodule formation in virtually "100%" of recipients, which I can say in my case just didn't happen- but I can't stress enough you just need to keep massaging the stuff continually until it "matures"- ie, distributes evenly and the inflammatory response with collagen formation sets in.
In full disclosure I will also say that distal to my circumcision scar and proximal to the corona (look it up) is about an inch gap total length that the bellafil would not pass through to due to the circumcision scar, that is now only about 6 inches circumference (my starting circumference). Dr carney was hesitant to use bellafil here due to the thinness of the skin- it is analogous to an eyelid. Hakky verbally said he would put bellafil there but I need to get to that healing point and let him evaluate it. Since I'm only 19 days post-op, I haven't gotten there- But I checked today and I'm 7 X 6.5, so I'm making progress, infrapubic scar is healing well, I am managing 3 hours total cycle time finally (with amazing pain)... I hope in 3-4 months he will agree to bellafil, we will see.
That's more than I wanted to say, but I wanted you to have everything I know, and I'm happy to explain anything I have experienced. BTW, I did read your experience, as you invited. You are doing great.

Re: new implant- cycling pain
Alans-
thank you for that response. I've learned a lot in a few days, and there definitely is a learning curve with pumping. I also see why people refer to "muscle memory." I saved some pain pills to use for cycling, and although I realize pain has a purpose, I must say that without them there is no way I could tolerate 3 hours a day. Just to ease your mind, when the meds wear off there is no lasting pain, so I don't think I am doing any permanent damage...
Heat is always a good idea but I'm not allowed in water yet, and heating devices are cumbersome. When I run out of these 5-6 pain pills I have left, I may just be forced to do it... ha.
Thanks again

Thanks so much!!;) this is detailed but helpful. And i realize ill probably need that much at some point. Oh well, better save up! Hahha. When youre all healed, and only if youre comfortable, can you post a pic of your unit? Keep cycling. Heal well over there boss

Re: new implant- cycling pain
1984,
Appreciate you.
Let me get through the initial part of this process and get another in-person eval by Dr Hakky for the purpose of more filler. I will start pushing him a bit about it around month 3-4, if my current progress holds- it's a little early to tell, but it is a goal I am going for. I feel like I will have some useful info to add after that point. Once I get another round by him and see how it goes, I will definitely update you... assuming he will do it (Bellafil). I know that HA is doable in that area, but I just don't think it's worth it.
I will say that my experience with Dr Carney was very good, and he did the injections in a regular exam room with a local block "on the spot", without a lot of fanfare. He was down to earth and I liked him- and I liked the approach of just the essentials. Actually I just stood there and got the injections (after prep with concentrated alcohol, which will set you on fire- relieved with subsequent local block). It was very efficient and I was usually out of there in 30 minutes. The pictures I've seen of Dr Hakky's filler procedure look like surgical drapes and controlled environment. I will see and let you know.
Nothing personal, but I have never taken a picture of myself and probably won't start now; at least, not yet. Ha.
