Am I doing something wrong. Injections sometimes works and sometimes nothing at all

Wondering if I am injecting wrong due to these inconsistent results.

one time it got hard and functional within 10 minutes as expected.

Next time it did nothing at all. I mean NOTHING.

Time after that, I accidentally injected only half dose, didnt do too much , and then I injected the other half dose 10 minutes later. It got working couple minutes thereafter. But , the hard on remained for 2.5 hours straight. Lesson learned.

Next time, yesterday, did proper dosage injection......absolutely NOTHING.

I should add I alternate left side and right side each time.

I inject at roughly 45 degree angle, so not directly at the side.

I usually push the needle fully in until the syringe base hit the skin.

Is there a chance I am injecting too deep sometimes? Where does the stuff go then and what does it do?

Rather than 45°, I think you get a fatter target at 75°, i.e. about 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock depending on the side.

What length needle are you using? Mine is 8mm (5/16") and I also push all the way. If I used a ½" needle, then I'd back off a bit.

The other thing I've begun doing is pulling back the syringe just a touch to aspirate some blood into the syringe to guarantee I have hit the cavernosum. It's become so important to me that I will not inject until I see blood. If there no blood, I withdraw and find another spot.

Also, do you plump up your penis to give a nice fat target? I injected today into my guy while fully flaccid (which I try not to do) and with some blood showing, it worked well. But it is a lot easier if it's plump.

FYI… my urologist endorsed the blood aspiration method.

I move all around for the target. From about 25% away from the base to 60% from the base. Plus, in addition to switching sides, I move from 2 o'clock to 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock.

You need to be plump before injecting.

Don't be in a rush.

If it takes 5 minutes of massaging to get plump...so be it.

Also 10:00 or 2:00 injection spots are best
